Walk into Peques Fulham Broadway or Peques Parsons Green on any given morning and you will see the same thing: children choosing what to explore, practitioners following their lead, and three languages moving through the room as naturally as breathing. Both settings share one ethos, one curriculum approach and one belief at their core, that children are the protagonists of their own learning.
Children lead, we follow
We do not believe education means inserting information into a child's mind. It means guiding them and drawing out the creativity that is already there. Across both our settings, activities are shaped around what children are curious about that day, whether that is building, painting, planting or simply asking questions. Our role is to notice, to extend, and to give children the confidence to keep exploring.
Three languages, one natural rhythm
We follow the OPOL method, One Person, One Language. Each practitioner speaks only their native/assign language, whether English, Spanish or Mandarin, so children absorb all three through genuine relationships rather than formal lessons. A child might hear English from one practitioner during breakfast, Spanish during outdoor play, and Mandarin during a story before nap time. There is no translation, no switching mid-sentence, just consistency, which is what allows children to build real fluency without confusion.
A day shaped by real experiences
Meals are prepared fresh daily in our own kitchen, nutritionally balanced and free from added salt, stock cubes, frying or added sugar. Children tend our allotment, visit our pop-up library, and take part in yoga and sport. Natural, open-ended resources encourage creativity over instruction. None of this is incidental. Every part of the day is designed to support a child's identity, emotional security and sense of belonging.
Partnership with parents
We see parents as the primary educators of their children, and every day at Peques is built in partnership with them. Through regular communication, shared observations and workshops, parents stay closely connected to their child's progress and to the life of the setting itself.
The same experience, wherever you join us
Whether your child attends Peques Fulham Broadway or Peques Parsons Green, the experience is the same: warm, considered, and rooted in twenty-six years of practice in Fulham. Different buildings, same belief, that every child deserves to lead the way.
